It is expected that for every accepted contribution at least one author is attending ICSA2022. Each registered Author will be entitled to present a maximum of two Research Papers plus two Critical Practices at the Conference. 

The general registration has now closed, however, we still have 'OneDay' Tickets left and we hope to see you at ICSA2022!

CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY

 

All previous ICSA conferences have been qualified by physical presence of the presenting authors, and we hope that we will be able to follow this through at ICSA2022 in Aalborg.

However, if the conference organizers are forced to change the format/cancel the conference due to matters related to COVID-19 (or other national/international epidemic/pandemic or other cases of force majeure), no claim can be made for compensation for the expenses registered participants or others may have in this connection towards ICSA or Aalborg University.

With regards to already paid registration fees, the conference organizers will decide whether to either allow online presentations in a hybrid online/physical conference format, to transfer the whole conference into an online format, to postpone the conference or to cancel it.

This will give the participant the opportunity to participate in alternative ways, on an alternative date or the participant can choose to be reimbursed the already paid registration fee according to current principles:

• Notification of cancellation must be in writing (email) and received by the conference secretary (tsan@create.aau.dk) on or before June 06 2022.
• Cancellations received on or before June 06 2022 will be refunded 50% of the fees, but deducted an administration fee of DKK 250.
• Cancellations received after June 06 2022 will be non-refundable.
• Non-arrivals will be non-refundable for any reason.
• Substitute participants will be accepted at any time – a name will be required.
• No refunds will be granted for participants with papers included in the proceedings.

 

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

Aalborg University (AAU) is responsible for data in connection with ICSA2022, 5th International Conference on Structures & Architecture (in the below called ‘the event’). We ask for your consent to the processing of your personal data.

By registering to the conference, you hereby give your consent to, that AAU, Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology may collect and process your name, email and billing address.

For your information, pictures/video may be taken/recorded at the event for use in print and in digital media formats, such as printed materials to promote the Department (mood pictures only, no specific person occupying a central role) or on the ICSA2022 website. If you do not want to participate in the pictures/videos, please contact the photographer at the event.

Your information is collected on the basis of consent, in accordance with Article 6 (1) of the Data Protection Regulation. 1, letter a. Your information will not be transferred outside the EU & EEA.

The personal information that you provide on the registration form is registered with AAU, Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology in order to ensure professional execution of the event.

Your personal information is used when we contact you in relation to the event and during the event. You will have the option to sign up for information on future events within the professional network constituted by the ICSA (the International Conference on Structures & Architecture) and IASA (the International Association for Structures and Architecture).

Your personal information will not be disclosed to third parties, outside the professional network constituted by ICSA and IASA.

At any time, you may withdraw your consent for the use of your personal information and specific pictures/videos from the event, where you specifically have agreed at the event to occupy a central role, by contacting icsa2022-secretariat@create.aau.dk

Personal information collected through the registration form or pictures/videos taken/recorded at the event, will be retained for as long as is necessary for the purpose of obtaining your consent and in accordance with applicable law.
Have we already with your consent publicized your personal information or pictures/videos with your participation, you do not have the right to have them deleted retroactively.

We expect to delete, anonymize or archive your personal information / pictures / videos by 01.08.2023.

When we process your personal data, you have several rights under the Data Protection Regulation. This means, among other things, that you have the right to deletion and data portability.

In certain cases, you have the right to access, rectify, limit and object to our processing of the personal data covered.
